Instruction Twin Oaks trainer, Debbie Dickey, can provide training for your horse for show or pleasure. Debbie strongly believes the owner needs to be a part of the training process and as much as possible will work within the owner’s schedule so they can watch the horse at work. “I don’t provide QUICK FIXES. Training is a process starting with a firm foundation in the basics. If at any time I don’t feel that I can provide the results an owner is looking for I will tell you immediately and we can make other arrangements. I refuse to do anything that I feel is not in the best interests of your horse. I rely on gentle yet firm guidance to get the best from your horse. I do not hold with the theory of I’m the boss and you must make the horse mind. Rather I want to be the Leading Partner in this equine relationship. I want a horse to want to work for me, not dread to see their rider coming. I am happy to provide as many references as someone wants. I also believe the owner must commit to becoming a good rider if they want training results to last. I’ve never seen a well trained horse that didn’t require maintenance.” The training fee is
$300/month plus the cost of board.
