Carla & Sassy
"Twin Oaks Farm is a
great place to board a horse and meet other horse fanatics of all
ages! I was looking for a place to ride to get ready for a horseback
riding trip to Ireland after many years out of the saddle and was
directed to Debbie by a friend. I figured I would get in some riding
time, take my trip and that would be it. Little did I know that Twin
Oaks Farm would become my second home and lead me into rekindling a
passion I had long since forgotten. Debbie patiently worked with me
until I felt confident for my trip and what I would encounter. But
she did so much more. She taught me that horsemanship means so much
more than being able to stay with one leg on either side of the
horse. She showed me that although many people can ride, what you
really want to strive for is the true partnership with your horse.
Needless to say, I was hooked."

Jennifer & Stacey
We'll be honest and say that Jennifer is
the daughter of Twin Oaks Farm owners, Jesse and Debbie, so she is a
life-long client. While Jennifer has her own farm and other horses in
Bullitt County, Stacey, aka "Dressy Casual," a 6-year-old AQHA mare,
has made Twin Oaks her home.
"Stacey is much more at ease at my
parents farm," says Jennifer, who claims that her horse is a grade-A
diva. "Twin Oaks also has the facilities that allow me to practice for
the show arena, something that I don't have at home. I know that she
is well cared for."
Jennifer and Stacey compete in open and
AQHA shows in Showmanship, Hunter Under Saddle and Western Pleasure.
Stacey was also the star in a series of Churchill Downs commercials
for their 2007 racing meets.

Whitney & Blue
Whitney takes lessons
on and shows her favorite horse, Coal Miners Blues. "Blue" was born at
the farm of Loretta Lynn. Whitney is the only one out of a set of
identical triplets that rides and has been riding at Twin Oaks Farm
since 2005.
"I have ridden at Twin Oaks Farm for 4 years and have loved every
second of it! Debbie lets me play around with Blue all the time. She
not only teaches you how to be safe and ride but she also takes people
to shows. She let me show in state last year for the first time and
without her I would have never brought home a 7th place ribbon. I have
ridden at other barns before and none of them compare to Twin Oaks
Farm because at Twin Oaks Farm, everybody can fit in and you can just
ride for fun not be forced into shows. Thank you Debbie I have always
loved Twin Oaks Farm as a second home and I am sure I will for years
to come." |

Other Client Testimonials
"Bunn & I learned a lot about horsemanship and friendship at Twin
Oaks Farm. I'll be forever grateful to [Debbie & Jesse] for
all you taught me and for giving me the opportunity to be not only
a rider but a true horse enthusiast who is passionate about our
four legged partners. I remember the day I was the REAL owner of
Bunn and how apprehensive I was as to how to care for him. Debbie
and Jesse took me in as one of their own and shared their
knowledge of horses and helped to feed my enthusiasm for my own
skills as a rider and also as a horse owner. Bunn is now 30 years
old and I can still feel the joy of all the trail rides, parades
and lessons I shared with the Dickey's."
